Customer Application Engineer
Mission
Ensure technical support to Sales function in technical pre-sales and post-sales activities, evaluating and selecting the best technical solutions that meets customer needs, managing the whole life-cycle of the customized drive solutions, from the design to testing and post sales customer technical services related to repair activities.
Main Responsibilities
Product Development Strategy
- Contributes to the development of local business by analyzing the market needs and ensuring the identification of the best technical solutions to meet the customer needs, according to a framework of guidelines, processes and procedures set by HQ.
Pre-sales technical support
- Provides support to Sales in analyzing Customer requests during the pre-order phase and propose the most suitable products configuration according to technical needs and in line with group strategies
Application Engineering
- Manage the whole life-cycle of the customized drive solutions trough the validation of technical and economics feasibility analysis , and products’ technical documents (technical Drawings, Bills of Material,…)
- Ensures proper accountability over pull project (“client-driven”) management and execution of special products/solutions working closely with HQ (R&D and BU Project Office & Product Launch) in the elaboration of technical feasibility studies, contributing to the product development process.
Product customization
- Provides support to Operations in defining processes and production methods to delivery products with specific technical requirements
Post-sales technical Support
- Ensures the analysis and the management of customer claims and brought non-conforming product and processes to the attention of Operation function for the action and the creation of best practices
- Resolution of technical problems directly on customer site
People Management
- Ensure an effective management of assigned employees, by providing them proper guidance, training and development, according to all policies and procedures defined at company level.
