Mission
Supports the Business Unit in making decisions aimed at maximizing the value created for the company through the definition of the Model for the monitoring of Key Performance Indicator for the BU (Profit & Loss, cost controlling, expected ROI, production planned, estimated sales,…).Manages accounting and financial reporting activities within Business Unit organization, coordinating processes both globally and locally to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.
Main Responsibilities
Business planning
- Manages the processes of drafting the three-year financial plan, the annual budget and periodic forecasts, in collaboration with Group Controlling, Local Controlling and Local Management;
- Provides financial reports of the Business Unit to the General Manager and the management team to explain the main figures involved (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow);
- Ensures the elaboration of financial statements, tax returns, and bank reports on time and according to internal and external guidelines.
Working Capital Management
- Analyzes production planning, stock projection concerning sell-out forecast and cash conversion cycle (Days Payable Outstanding, Days Sales Outstanding, Days Inventory Outstanding) to support the Business Unit management team to understand financial impacts of working capital management.
Reporting
- Supports the implementation of new controlling methodologies and ensures that planning and controlling activities, both centrally and locally, are in line with Group timelines;
- Coordinates local controllers in the management of controlling process, in line with Headquarter guidelines, addressing them to make better decisions;
- Responsible for the coordination and implementation of the IT tools and the maintenance of existing tools for controlling;
- Monitors the economic-financial KPIs to analyze and understand the performance of the Business Unit and support organizational financial goals.
Performance analysis
- Monitors the financial performance of the company by carrying out an analysis of the working capital (differences between current assets and liabilities), of the financial structure (mix between debt and equity to finance investments), of the activities of defining the cost and price of assets and services and profitability (Working capital net of expenses and taxes);
- Elaborates forecast reports on the performance of the Business Unit through the analysis of historical financial trends;
- Elaborates summary documentation relating to the analysis of the monthly deviation (changes in variable and fixed costs compared to the budget and the previous period) and profitability, providing guidelines for implementing corrective actions and ensuring sustainable growth.
