General Accounting Specialist
Mission
The General Accounting Specialist supports the correct administrative management of the Group companies by defining financial statements policies aimed at guaranteeing compliance with civil and fiscal regulations. Is also responsible to analyze and evaluate financial issues to provides the main financial evidences.
Main Responsibilities
- Perform general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Process fixed assets transactions, ensuring accurate classification, depreciation, and disposals in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Coordinate and ensure the timely and accurate Intercompany (IC) reconciliations in alignment with corporate requirements.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring compliance with IFRS/local GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) filings, in collaboration with internal tax teams and external advisors.
- Assist in the preparation and review of VAT returns, reconciliations, and reporting obligations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local and international tax requirements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance teams in different locations, to streamline accounting and tax compliance processes and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
- Assist in audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations to external and internal auditors.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for finance processes, leveraging automation where possible.
- Work with SAP S/4HANA for accounting transactions, reporting, and reconciliations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably in a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS/local GAAP).
- Experience with monthly closures under tight deadlines and financial reporting.
- Hands-on experience in coordinating and ensuring intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
- Experience in tax compliance, particularly VAT and Corporate Income Tax (CIT) reporting.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
