Heavy Duty Solutions Technical Project Leader

Manage projects transversal to platforms (gearboxes and motors), in the reference sector, during all macro-phases of product development up to the prototyping phase. Guarantees the achievement of project objectives, including performance, cost and time for product development projects.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

PROCESS​

ACTIVITIES​

Project Management​

  • Collect product requirements from product marketing (push projects) or sales (pull projects)​

  • Designs detailed technical project plans defining all activities necessary to delivery the R&D Project from Applicantion Analysis phase to Product Validation and prototyping​

  • Responsible to coordinate and monitor the project activities with the aim to guarantee the achievement of project goals, including performance, cost and time​

  • Monitor the progress of the activities securing the delivery of the expected results (investment, BOM, spec’s, drawings, test results, technical support to purchasing, tooling build certification, Manufacturing Process Plan, Approval Plan) according to the original plan;​

  • Elaborates technical reports to summarize project results and to highlight critical issue and possible solutions to guarantee the project delivery​

Product/ Solutions Development​

  • Guarantee the definition of product specification collecting product requirements from Product Marketing/Sales/Local CAE/Customers, technical feasibility analysis from Platform Leader, Manufacturing feasibility from Operation Engineering and Manufacturing​

  • Guarantee the elaboration of a technical document with product configuration and functionality assumptions​

  • Facilitate and guide activities of a cross functional product development team in order to make sure they meet the necessary requirements and specifications​

  • Guarantees the performance and reliability requirements , cost, compliance with safety regulations, as well as manufacturability, logistics management for protoying​

Testing Evaluation​

  • Guarantees experimental tests results analysis (bench or machine), identifying the root causes of a problem and defining an action plan for the resolution of any critical issues​

  • Ensure that all deliverables meet or exceed the company’s performance requirements​

Prototype Release​

  • Defines, based on the technical requirement, the materials, tools and processes for the development of Product/ Solutions  prototypes with involved functions (Purchasing, Operation Engineering, Manufacturing)​

  • Supports Operation Engineers during assembly and production process definition​

  • Support quality control function to identify production or performance problems​

  • Manage customer interaction for prototype validation or optimization​

 

HARD SKILLS:

knowledge of CAD/PLM systems:  NX Unigraphics & Teamcenter (preferred)  5 

Knowledge of technical designs and designs software’s  3 

knowledge of most common SW ( Word, Power Point, Outlook)  4 

Databases (Excel, Access)  4
