MISSION

The Material Handling & Logistics Sales Engineer is responsible for achieving sales targets within the assigned region for specific sector(s). The role manages a portfolio of target customers (existing and new), implementing the commercial strategy defined in coordination with the Sector Sales Manager and the Country Sales Manager. The position ensures the consolidation of relationships with Key Customers and the systematic development of new business opportunities (prospects). The Sales Engineer reports to the Sector Sales Manager.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

Sales Intelligence:

  • Analyze trends in the target industry and monitor competitor activities and benchmarking.

Strategy and Planning:

  • Support the Sector Sales Manager in defining requirements for new products and solutions relevant to the sector. Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to penetrate the assigned sector(s) within the region. Promote products and solutions aligned with the needs of the target market.

Sales Process Management:

  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to the preparation of the most appropriate technical and commercial proposal.
  • Ensure compliance with company risk mitigation policies during contract negotiation and closing.
  • Maintain accurate sales data and pipeline management through the consistent use of the company CRM and quotation tools (offers, visit reports, etc.).

Field Activities (Go-to-Market):

  • Conduct regular visits to Key Accounts and existing customers to maintain strong and long-term relationships.
  • Generate new business opportunities through targeted technical visits and prospecting activities. Present the value and benefits of the company’s services and contractual conditions in line with the sector approach.

Performance and Budgeting:

  • Monitor sales performance on an ongoing basis (Revenue and Value Added).
  • Identify deviations from agreed budgets and implement appropriate corrective actions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales roles. Experience in the power transmission components sector is considered a strong plus.
  • Technical background (Technical Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields).
  • Strong negotiation skills, results-oriented mindset, and accuracy in data management using CRM systems.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the area of Cuneo, Asti, Turin, or Casale Monferrato.
  • Availability for frequent travel within the assigned territory.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and ability to analyze mechanical applications.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with purchasing departments and technical management.
  • Ability to independently organize schedules and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Proactive approach to customer relationship management.
