We are seeking a Procurement Buyer Specialist to join our team in Castel Maggiore (BO).

 

MISSION

Buy materials according to production schedule to ensure production continuity, following purchasing strategy and cost efficiency target. Monitor deliveries confirmations and escalate missing confirmation to avoid impact on production.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

 

Order Management

  • Issue purchase orders according to customer and production needs.
  • Updating constantly the backlog in order to get confirmations and delivery date on time.
  • Review excess and shortage of material sources with Purchasing to minimize the impact.

 

Materials Management:

  • Identify critical material deliveries, prioritize them through the supply chain and work with suppliers to cover material demand.
  • Cooperate with R&D or/and Sourcing to identify alternatives and second source in case of shortage.
  • Cooperate with Production Planning to manage the risks in supply of materials.
  • Escalate to direct supervisor any possible issues that can impact on production continuity.
  • Cooperate with Sourcing to update MRP parameters relative to security stocks, lead time, MOQ, rounding value to optimize the supply chain
  • Management of daily communication with suppliers and Purchasing

 

Budget:

  • Cooperate with Sourcing to implement budget prices and find saving opportunities in the spot market.

 

KPI

  • Order confirmation rate.
  • Number planned orders to be released.
  • Backlog rescheduling rate

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Basic ability to handle and manage technical drawings
  • Experience in procurement or material planning roles
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage supplier relationships
  • Preferred background in mechanical industry or industrial automation industry
  • Knowledge of English language (B1 level)
  • High school diploma or university degree
