We are seeking a Junior Assembly Operations Engineer to join our team in Forlì.

MISSION

Responsible for the design, commissioning, and optimization of production plants, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. Implements continuous improvements in manufacturing processes, supports the launch of new products, and coordinates Kaizen initiatives to enhance safety and ergonomics. Additionally, troubleshoots technical issues and supports the improvement of assembly line performance.

 

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES

Design, procurement, and commissioning of new production equipment:

  • Study and analysis of production requirements and definition of technical and economic objectives. Development of preliminary layouts, identification of the most suitable technologies, and evaluation of compatibility with existing processes through cost–benefit analysis.
  • Preparation of technical specifications for the request for quotation (RFQ). Analysis and comparison of proposals received based on quality, cost, and reliability criteria.
  • Responsible for monitoring the project in all its phases at the supplier’s site to ensure compliance with the required technical and functional specifications and on-time delivery.
  • Performs functional tests and factory acceptance testing (FAT) at the supplier before proceeding with on-site installation at the plant. Supervises line installation, verifies compliance with technical specifications through testing, and carries out debugging to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety and ergonomics standards.
  • Provides adequate training to operational and technical staff for the use and maintenance of the equipment.

 

Development and optimization of manufacturing processes:

  • Implementation of continuous improvement methodologies to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Definition and monitoring of process parameters to ensure quality and repeatability of operations.
  • Adaptation of existing equipment to integrate an increasing number of product codes

 

New Product Development:

  • Support to the launch of new product codes on existing production lines
  • Development of work cycles for the introduction of new components.
  • Validation of tooling and production methods in synergy with the Quality team

 

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implementation of rapid solutions to optimize production processes.
  • Introduction of new technologies and methodologies to increase productivity.
  • Coordination of Kaizen initiatives to improve workplace safety and ergonomics.
  • Support in troubleshooting technical issues and managing product/process non-conformities.
  • Assistance to plants, subsidiaries, and distributors to improve the efficiency and maintenance of assembly lines.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electronic Engineering.
  • English proficiency at minimum B2 level.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Minimum prior experience in a comparable position.

COMPENSATION PACKAGE

The annual compensation range for this position is €30,000 - €35,000, with additional benefits.

This compensation range has been determined based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including the scope of the role, required skills, relevant professional experience, qualifications, and level of responsibility.
