MISSION

Perform product design, mechanical drawing and three-dimensional models to guarantee the development of products in line with technical requirements, safety regulations and easy to assembly and to maintain.

MAIN RESPONSIBILTIES

• Technical Feasibility Analysis
• Support the Platform to define the technologies and resources necessary for the development of the products required, proposing concepts of products, predicting risks and opportunities and evaluating the impacts of the new features on the target products of the customers
• Support the Platform for the definition of the commercial offer through the making of new feasibility study, communicating with Value Analysis, Manufacturing Operation & Purchasing Department.

Calculations and Simulations Analysis

• Carry out technical calculation of the mechanical products designed: heatsink, housing, aesthetic plastic part, in different technologies like mold, CNC, 3D-printing or others
• Carry out static & dynamic calculation of all the above-mentioned mechanical components according to standard regulations (ISO, AGMA, DIN, Atex) to define the correct sizing of components
• Guarantee Finite Element Analysis of critical components (flange or gearbox or PCB housing) with the aim to predict how a product reacts to real physical effects (es: forces, vibration, heat, fluid flow.)
• Correlation between analytical calculation results and testing results.

Design & Development

• Guarantee mechanical design 3D and relative 2D providing detailed design drawings
• Design and develop a product that can be easily assembled also in a PCBA and final electronic product with cabling, easily manageable from the logistical point of view and easily maintained, ensuring the best cost, the best quality, reliability, compliance with safety regulations, time to market and customer satisfaction
• Define the critical characteristics and potential weaknesses of the project through the analysis of failure modes and information on the behavior in the field of similar products (Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis)
• Realize technical Bill of Material (BOM) indicating what are all the components, sub-assemblies, semi-finished products and raw materials necessary to make a product.

Technical Documentation

• Create and update the technical documentation associated with new project or changes of existing product, to cover all elements of the project life cycle (project requirements, preliminary and final design and release, update of product documentation) in compliance with global quality standards.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
• Technical diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
• Ability to work independently in mechanical design
• Solid knowledge of materials and their applications
• Good knowledge of the English language
