Local IT

MISSION​

Provides direct support to Company users on issues occurring on their assigned devices (e.g. workstations / laptops / mobile devices) as well as on locally deployed servers or infrastructure components supporting shop floor operations. Responsibles for activating either higher support levels within the IT Service organization or external vendors, and effectively coordinate with them in order to timely address problems which require specific expertise.

IT Service

  • Supports users of personal computers and of industrial IT equipment​

  • Represents first level of support for IT-related issues on hardware and software in use on the site, with specific reference to:​

  • Windows operational system, both client and server​

  • Virtualization environment (Microsoft Hyper-V);​

  • Microsoft server applications (e.g Active Directory, SCCM, …)​

  • Microsoft Office suite​

  • Back-up and restore procedures​

  • Local printers​

  • Mobile and landline phones​

  • Networking infrastructure components (switch, access point …)​

  • Videoconference devices​

  • Ensures respect of IT policies on configuration, access and security defined with HQ guidelines​

  • Supports internal customers to resolve IT problems and develop technical requirements ​

  • Performs first-level troubleshooting to identify causes of device or component malfunctioning​

  • Repairs hardware such as pcs, printers and other devices whereas feasible and economically reasonable​

  • Supports in activating new software applications locally or in deploying central applications, both in IT and OT areas​

  • Trains local internal customers to the usage of new systems and local applications​

​IT Operations

  • Performs the setup on new hardware (PCs, servers, network, printers …) and regularly updates the existing one, both in IT and OT areas​

  • Ensures the availability of critical local applications in accordance to agreed business requirements​

  • Manages and support the Global IT Service team or external Vendors on critical incident and problem escalations​

  • Manages local suppliers (where applicable) for the purchase of hardware, software and maintenance agreement

IT Evolution & Improvement

  • Contributes in identifying opportunities for improvement on local processes, leveraging his knowledge of local specific needs and challenges that can be effectively supported by Digital initiatives​

  • Identify new technologies that can be beneficial for the company and propose internal processes improvement.

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Information Technology
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge Experience in Microsoft system administration
  • Fluent in English
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Problem Solving attitude
